What happens at La Leche League meetings?

At La Leche League meetings, parents are encouraged to share their breastfeeding/chestfeeding/human milk feeding experience, offer suggestions, and provide encouragement to one another.  La Leche League meetings are a wonderful place to create friendships as you travel along your parenthood journey.

Whether you're attending an in-person meeting or a virtual meeting, you can always count on these aspects of La Leche League meetings to be the same.

  • Babies and toddlers are always welcome at La Leche League meetings.

  • Meetings are always FREE.

  • Expectant parents are encouraged to attend. Now is the perfect time to build your support system.

  • You may hear a variety of life experiences and suggestions at LLL meetings. Attendees are encouraged to take what works and leave the rest.

  • Some parents worry about having a fussy baby at a meeting or their house being noisy when meeting online. The most important thing you can do at a LLL meeting is tend to the needs of your child. Parents are encouraged to nurse, change diapers, express milk, give a bottle, or bounce around the room with a fussy baby!

There is no charge to attend meetings or receive assistance from our accredited volunteers. Babies and nursing children are always welcome.
Come for support, share successes, troubleshoot challenges,
or simply enjoy the camaraderie of parenthood.
